Everyone can travel with us! This includes individuals, groups, NDIS participants, mobility-aided users, seniors & families.
Is Safe & Sound Transit The Same As A Taxi?
No, Safe & Sound Transit is a booked hire transport service, not a taxi. Trips with Safe & Sound are pre-booked and usually pre-paid, as our drivers do not accept payment in the vehicle. Unlike taxis, booked hire can’t be hailed or found at a rink.

How To Book A Trip
Travelling with Safe & Sound starts with completing the referral form. Once this form is successfully submitted, our team will contact you to confirm your trip details and the price for the trip.
Do I Pay Before or After?
For NDIS & plan managed bookings, the invoice is sent to the provided email after the trip is complete.
For all other bookings, payment is required before the trip. Once the trip is complete, if the trip cost exceeds the quote by $50 or more, additional payment will be required and you will be notified.
Travel Fares
Standard Fare (Monday to Friday 7am - 8pm)
Base Rate - $6.50
Distance - $2.45 per km
Travel Time - $0.87 per minute
Wait Time - $0.78 per minute
Client No Show Fee - $50.00 (when driver is on site & client declines or no show)
Cancellation fee (less than 24hrs) - $50.00
Cleaning Fee - Charged as required based on extent of cleaning required
Damage to interior of vehicle - Charged as required to rectify damages
Additional Assistance Fee (if carer required but not present or additional driver required) - $165.00

Base Rate - $6.50

Base Rate - $6.50

Travel Time - $1.74 per minute
Wait Time - $1.56 per minute
Public Holiday Rates

Cancellation Fee and Client No Show Fee will be at the discretion of Safe & Sound Transit Management, should there be a reasonable reason for client not travelling.
Minimum rates apply for trips.
No food or hot drinks to be consumed whilst in the vehicle.

We provide NDIS-compliant transport for both wheelchair and walking clients. We can get you to appointments, activities, errands or anywhere else you want to go, safely and soundly.

Yes, all of our vehicles are wheelchair accessible. One of our vans has the capacity for two wheelchairs.
All vehicles are equipped with secure anchor points and a rear-entry hydraulic tilt ramp to make your trip a breeze!

Our service is for people on NDIS, whether you’re self-managed or plan managed.
We provide services for wheelchair and walking customers, including a seat for your carer.

To book a ride, you first must fill out a referral form, which can be found here.
Once that form is completed, please enter your details on our contact page, and attach your completed referral form.

We service the local area within Mount Low, Kelso & Stuart. If you’d to like to travel beyond these suburbs, please contact us so we can ensure enough time for your booking

Our drivers do not accept payment.
An invoice is sent via email to the nominated email address on the referral form.
The invoice can be paid by bank transfer. Invoices are payable within 14 days of invoice date.

Yes, in your referral sheet, put a note specifying if your trip is recurring. Otherwise, you can contact us to arrange this over the phone or email. Subject to availability

We have two dedicated, full-time drivers. Our drivers are NDIS screened, hold a current QLD Drivers Authorisation card and are trained in customer service & safer driver techniques.

Yes, service animals are permitted to travel with Safe & Sound.

In our first van, we can fit 1 wheelchair & 3 passengers or 6 passengers with no wheelchair.
In our second van, we can fit 2 wheelchairs & 2 passengers or 5 passengers with no wheelchairs.
